Geckos Hostel - Florianopolis

I absolutely loved the cozy atmosphere at the hostel. The decoration had a charming and rustic feel, with colorful hammocks hanging around the garden, making it a perfect spot for me to relax and socialize with other guests. The general areas were well-maintained, and I particularly appreciated the accessibility for senior people. The hostel had ramps and easy-to-navigate pathways, making it hassle-free for me to move around and enjoy my stay.

The only thing I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to be more mindful of the noise levels, especially during the late evenings. It would have been more enjoyable for a quiet night's sleep if they ensured the music, partying, and talking were strictly limited to the designated hours, respecting the needs of those who wanted to rest peacefully.

I stayed at Geckos Hostel for 9 days and loved it! The location is perfect, within walking distance of the best spots in Lagoa and even the beaches if you don't mind a moderate walk. The house is beautiful and the staff is friendly. Breakfast was always great, better than most hostels I've been to. I can't wait to come back!
